Trump government is pondering to ban TikTok application in the US, based on security risk within the app. TikTok application is under the possibility of yet another ban, this time by Trump.
The Department of US Federal Trade Commission and Justice are making allegations that TikTok has violated the act of children’s privacy under a 2019 agreement to delete personal information about users under the age of 13 as it had agreed to do.
“The Trump administration is aware of TikTok and is considering a ban on the app” said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo in an interview with Fox News
TikTok is owned by Chinese tech company ByteDance, a social media application famous for its quirky short videos. this has reached more than 2 billion downloads on the Apple Store and Google Play store.

This is not the first time TikTok has faced a ban. This application is already banned in India with more than 50 other Chinese Apps due to discordance between the two countries. U.S. military has already banned this app on government-issued phones. Both countries implying the same allegations of the app being Chinese spyware.
