TCL New SmartPhone Can Lasts A Week On A Single Charge

By

It appears that TCL business has figured out how to make a smartphone that can run for up to a week on a single charge. Furthermore, it is unrelated to modern battery technology.

TCL’s TV range may be recognisable to some of you, and our readers who are nerds are likely aware of the company’s NXTPAPER series of mobile devices. We now had a new phone on the table, but they were primarily tablets.

The most recent gadget to use the company’s NXTPAPER technology is the TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro, which costs only $200. Better yet, you can use Metro and T-Mobile to get the phone in the United States.

The TCL smartphone has some respectable hardware, but its specs are far from flagship-like. It sports a 5,200mAh battery and 8GB of RAM. It also features a 32MP front-facing camera, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 50MP primary camera.

TCL NXTPAPER is a specialised display technology that mimics the matte look and texture of paper to lessen eye strain. It mimics the feel of paper using nano-matrix lithography and a filter to lessen flicker and glare.

The TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro’s 6.9-inch FHD+ NXTPAPER display boasts a refresh rate of 120 Hz while maintaining the colour and responsiveness of LCD/OLED panels (it’s an LCD beneath all the paper-like technology).

The TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro incorporates a nearly obsolete technology. There is a microSD card slot on the phone! Additionally, cards with up to 2TB of storage are supported.

When we consider the TLC phone’s base storage, that is essentially more than the greatest Galaxy S26 Ultra. Water is not a problem with this smartphone because to its IP68 classification, which is an added peace of mind feature.

It’s fantastic and all, but you might wonder, “What’s the CPU inside? Is this phone good, and what’s its beating heart? The official specs sheet, however, does not provide this information.

After some research, I discovered that the TCL NXTPAPER 70 Pro has a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chipset—not that I suggest disassembling the phone.

Although it’s not the fastest, it completes the task. This nearly two-year-old, eight-core CPU is advertised as being extremely efficient.

TCL smartphone is able to claim a battery life of up to seven days on a single charge for the 70 Pro thanks to this technology and the NXTPAPER screen. Okay, that’s longevity!

This phone is a good choice if you don’t mind the relatively low specs and need an inexpensive phone that will last you a week.

Naturally, you may also use it as a backup phone when you travel away from the power outlet or don’t really need a flagship. You can leave your Kindle at home because the NXTPAPER screens are easy on the eyes and designed for reading.

I had the opportunity to see this intriguing technology multiple times at MWC in Barcelona and IFA Berlin, so there isn’t much more to say. It feels a much like e-ink, and while the colours aren’t as vibrant as they would be on an OLED screen, they are still more than sufficient.
