Vodafone Launched 5G Broadband, Superfast Internet For Just £21

By

In the UK, VodafoneThree has added a new 5G service to its broadband lineup for people who can’t get full fibre.

The Vodafone 5G Broadband package offers full fiber-like speeds, but it doesn’t require installation or cabling into a property because it leverages the provider’s mobile network.

According to the firm, this means that even though they are unable to have a full fibre equivalent, an additional 3.7 million homes in the UK can benefit from superfast internet connectivity.

There are two plans that start at £21 a month. Up to 50 Mbps is possible with the first. This can be paid for at the stated £21 over a 24-month term or £30 per month on a 30-day basis.

As an alternative, you can increase the speeds and obtain 150 Mbps for an additional pound or two. The monthly cost is £22 for a 24-month period or £32 for a 30-day rolling contract.

Rob Winterschladen, consumer director at VodafoneThree, stated:

“Millions of households are still paying over the odds for unreliable and slow broadband that often only reaches 74 Mbps. With Vodafone 5G Broadband, we’re giving those homes a genuinely fast alternative, at great value, with no installation, no waiting and no hassle,”

In addition to the Power Hub router that comes with Vodafone 5G Broadband, the company intends to provide an outdoor hub soon. For instance, this will link to the Power Hub indoors and improve connectivity in the garden.

This hub will “lock on to the strongest 5G signal available in the area and connect directly to the indoor Power Hub router,” delivering “a consistent connection throughout the home.”

According to Vodafone, this new service has the potential to reach more than 26 million homes in the UK, making it the largest provider of broadband.

Vodafone gave a statement:

“Because it’s wireless, speeds can fluctuate at times based on signal strength, how far you are from the mast and how busy the local network is at any given time. Placing your 5G Hub in the best position possible will help maintain a stable, reliable connection.”

Vodafone’s June 2025 merger with Three has obviously made it possible for the former to utilise the latter’s infrastructure. Until recently, Three was the only significant UK internet provider to offer 5G broadband; however, even that package was (and still is) offered on a minimum 12-month plan. It is evident that Vodafone has been able to utilise Three’s infrastructure since their merger in June 2025.

Vodafone said in a statement:

“The integration of Vodafone and Three’s networks is supercharging VodafoneThree’s 5G footprint, enabling Vodafone 5G Broadband to reach millions more homes with high-speed connectivity,”
