Apple is thinking about utilizing another company’s technology to upgrade Siri rather than creating its own as customers become impatient. In the competition to make an AI assistant as strong as its rivals, Apple is lagging behind.
An Apple insider as well as an editor at Bloomberg, Mark Gurman, claimed that for now Apple is thinking about a collaboration with Google, its main rival in the smartphone market.
Google apparently started training a model that could operate on Apple’s servers, and the business has previously approached OpenAI and Anthropic for similar talks about utilizing their technology to power Siri.
It seems like that Apple is going to acquire a lot more weeks in order to determine whether to enlist a partner for the Siri update.
