Instagram added a new feature which gives its users far greater flexibility in their interactions on the platform by enabling them to modify comments after posting.
Nevertheless, there is a 15-minute time limit for the feature. Users are unable to edit their comments once this window closes.
With this upgrade, users on Instagram can only change the text of a comments. If a remark contains both text and a picture, only the text can be updated, the picture stays the same.
Within the 15-minute window, users are free to modify a remark as many as they like. The quantity of adjustments made during this period is unlimited.
An “Edited” label will appear when a comment has been modified to show that it has been altered. Nevertheless, the edit history and earlier iterations of the comment will not be visible to other users.
