Google Users Can no Longer Search the word ‘disregard’

The word “disregard” is no longer searchable on Google. Google introduced an entirely new search experience earlier this week, emphasizing AI summaries and pushing the conventional “10 blue links” further down the page. However, because to Google Search’s enormous scale, there are numerous edge circumstances that the business appears to have overlooked. For example, if you enter the word “disregard” into Google Search, you will now see this.

It’s understandable why Google has been receiving criticism on social media for this. The Merriam-Webster link is still there, as you can see, but you have to scroll past a large block of blank space. That one response is all you’ll see for the majority of users. Crucially, if a user searches for the word “disregard,” the AI response is completely useless. It’s simply a malfunctioning tool.
