Samsung is expanding its One UI 8.5 update to more Galaxy devices, bringing an updated design and new AI tools. Now Samsung is rolling out the update to more countries for its cheapest phones. It’s also possible that some features that were exclusive to the Galaxy S26 might find their way to the Galaxy S25 lineup.

One UI 8.5 update has started rolling out for Samsung’s Galaxy A07 5G in a handful of Asian countries, including Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, Taiwan, and Vietnam, reports SamMobile. The device is among Samsung’s cheapest 5G phones. The update has also been rolled out to the Galaxy M55 in India, a two-year-old mid-range handset. Both phones get updated user interface graphics, a customisable Quick Panel and Direct Voicemail, and the May 2026 security patch.

The update adds Perplexity AI-powered Bixby and new camera filters to the M55 as well. With the Galaxy S26 AI tools that Galaxy S25 got, this is easily one of the best features of One UI 8.5. And there could be good news for owners of the Galaxy S25 as well. Samsung may be planning to bring Galaxy S26 AI notification features to the Galaxy S25 series in June 2026. Tarun Vats on X writes, “Only 1 upgrade for UI 8.5. In particular, summarise and prioritise the notifications.

Summarise Notifications summarises conversations without opening the app, and Priority Notifications leverages AI to rank important notifications as they arrive. Both features would be part of a small group of cutting-edge AI features that trickled down from Galaxy S26 in the first wave of One UI 8.5, including Audio Eraser, Creative Studio, Call Screening, and an improved Photo Assist. However, neither feature is known to be coming to the Galaxy S25 series.
